Funding for arts and culture is currently being dismantled and attacked in the United States more than ever before. While funding sources have always been extremely scarce for experimental performing artists, and particularly for tap dance, we now must rely on individual donors to help bring our work to life. Thank you for understanding the importance of live dance and music, thank you for believing in this work and in the arts.

Please consider joining our network of donors and help us towards our current goal of $50,000 for The Mercy Velvet Project. Your contributions will go directly towards equitably compensating the extremely talented artists involved in this work for all rehearsal hours, and appropriate performance fees for our premiere and upcoming performances. (One day of rehearsal with all collaborators costs $1,500). Please read the full backstory below for more details. This is no small feat; we deeply appreciate donations of any amount. Help us premiere and tour this extremely unique work - have you ever seen a rock opera celebrating unknown 90’s rock music with tap dance as percussion?

Thanks to the generosity of over 80 individual donors (so far) since our fundraising efforts began in 2024 for The Mercy Velvet Project, we have raised just over $17,000. We have also been awarded $4,000 in small grants from the New England Foundation for the Arts and the Connecticut Office of the Arts. Become a part of our journey and help us get the rest of the way to $50,000 by making a contribution today. Supporters who donate $500 or more will receive a signed photo in the mail. Supporters who join our Leadership Circle by donating $1,000 or more will also receive complimentary tickets to our premiere and invitations to private rehearsals.
